A key purpose of the General Plan is to protect and enhance the things that make Culver City unique and special. We want to preserve and share your stories about the places, events, and people that are important to you to build connections across the community and into the future. We asked residents and visitors to share stories, photos, and videos on the places, events, and people that make Culver City unique. Submissions were accepted through June 20, 2021. While the interactive map is now closed, you can still scroll through the galleries below to read stories from Culver City residents, visitors, and others who make and have made Culver City a special place.

What: Last year, when I went to the Festival I knew so many people form the neighborhood. It felt so good to live in a big city but feel that I was in a small friendly town like when I grew up.
What: Each year a parade has been held in Lindberg Park on 4th of July. Although I don’t have kids, it was the sense of community for all of the area to participate.
What: My first internship was in Culver City and we would get Tito’s Tacos for dinner every week.
What: The bike path along the Ballona Creek connects the city to lots of places —> freedom & fun
What: I am a student in UCLA. My capstone graduate project is to help with the General Plan Update. I only started getting to know about Culver City. My site to work on is parcels near the station. Place are important to me. Public spaces, which gather people together.

This special feature of our "On the Porch" program shows one of our talented Senior Center members playing a few songs on the saxophone!

"On the Porch" allows for seniors to share a 5 minute story about what their lives were like when they graduated high school, or what technology was like growing up.
